Smaart RTA for iOS offers a portable solution for professional audio analysis, bringing the capabilities of Rational Acoustics’ acclaimed desktop software to iPhone and iPad users.

This application caters to both audio professionals and enthusiasts by providing access to Smaart’s industry-standard Real Time Analyzer (RTA) and Spectrograph, along with a straightforward Sound Pressure Level (SPL) meter. Users can perform detailed audio analysis without the need for a dedicated computer setup, leveraging the same trusted algorithms that have earned a reputation among sound engineers for delivering precise and actionable data in real time.

Important Note for Smaart Desktop Users: Smaart RTA is limited to single channel measurements and does not support dual channel transfer function or impulse response measurements typically utilized for system alignment and optimization, including time alignment.

The default settings in Smaart RTA reflect those found in the desktop version of Smaart v9’s real-time single channel measurements.

• Customizable RTA Graph settings (including frequency scaling and grid interval).
• Ability to plot calibrated levels relative to SPL instead of Full Scale level.
• Support for Target Curves (Cinema X Curves included with an option to import your own).
• Capability to capture and store multiple RTA data traces for comparative analysis across various locations or venues.
• Averaging function for multiple stored traces to depict overall frequency response within a performance space.
• Adjustable Y-offsets on RTA graphs for visual dB offset application on live or captured data.
• Import/export functionalities for RTA files (.srf) compatible with the desktop version of Smaart.
• An added SPL Traffic Light display to assist in maintaining venue SPL limits.
